Assoc. Prof. Meng Xiang
Guangdong University of Technology, China

Biodata: Meng Xiang received two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Geosciences (CUG) and from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China, in 2011, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree from HUST, in 2017. After that, he worked at McGill University as a Post-Doctoral Researcher and ZTE Corporation as a Senior System Engineer, respectively. Since 2020, he has been with Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT), where he is currently an associate professor in Institute of Advanced Photonics Technology. He has authored or coauthored more than 80 journal and conference papers. His research interest focuses on long-haul and metro optical communication, data-center interconnection, and Integrated sensing and communication.

Assoc. Prof. Kejin Wei
Guangxi University, China

Speech: Integrated Photonics for Quantum Communication

Biodata: Dr. Kejin Wei is an Associate Professor at the School of Physical Science and Technology of Guangxi University. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Electronics from the School of Science of Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications and Electrical & Computer Engineering, University of Toronto (2016). He also holds a Master of Physics from the School of Science of Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications joint training with Institute of Physics, Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science from the School of Science of Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications (2011). He mainly focuses on the practical quantum communication technology which is widely concerned by both academic and industrial circles, including integrated chip-based quantum communication technology, etc. He has published 38 SCI-indexed academic papers in this field, of which more than 20 are first-authored papers published in important physics journals including Physical Review X and Physical Review Letters, with 2 papers cited more than 100 times, and a total citation of 900 times.
